Origin: Hank Short was a fifth generation cop,
actually a homicide detective, when he realized what he could
do. He had suspected that he was a nova when the headach wouldn't go away. But he
decided to develope his powers when he was tracking down a real scum bag
who might or might not have been a nova. T2M didn't want to deal with it because there
wasn't enough proof that a nova would commite such crimes. Eventually he
did catch up to this insane criminal, and indeed he was a nova. So, looking
around at the building they were in, he decided that he would make his
powers manipulate the enviroment around himself and that is what he concentrated
on and that is what developed. Afterwards, he was approached by a
woman who said that she needed someone to stand up to the greatest criminal, and of
course he said yes to her offer. He has been with
the team for now 1 year and likes his new role, except that
he cannot get past the 2 day suit and trench coat from his detective days.
